How do I reset my custom graphic which was lost after Sept 1 upgrade?

  I lost my custom graphic on my blog after Sept 1 update

  Where was it located on the blog? Can you locate it in your Media Library ie. did you upload it into WordPress.com servers? Or is the image hosted somewhere else online? Note: header images must be uploaded they cannot be hosted elsewhere.

  I see Mistylook on your blog and note there is not custom header. Provided the image has been uploaded into WordPress.com servers it will be in your Media library. To restore it go here > Appearance > Header and click “Choose Image” where it says-__ Or choose an image from your Media Library:

  I guess my question is will I have to reload the header image every time there is an update or a renewal? This has happened in the past and I was under the impression that when I renewed or there was an update everything would carry over.
