How do I reset my default wordpress.com DNS Records?
-
Hi,
I accidentally deleted the 3 default DNS Records so my site has gone down. I had it mapped perfectly to a custom domain but yeah stupidly deleted these defaults. I cannot find how to reset these or what they are to add back in manually.
Please help.
Cheers
Rob

Hi Rob.
It looks like you may have figured this out by yourself? I’m able to view your WordPress.com site when visiting hoodfood.com.au and can see that that domain’s name servers are correctly pointing towards WordPress.com:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMLet me know if there’s anything else you need help with on that.

Well actually…
I’ve got my domain name with another company and have set the name servers to point back to wordpress.com for my site. I’ve also signed up for an email with them against my domain.
If you could tell me how to set my email on the wordpress end that I think points back to my domain host? That would be awesome :)

Sure thing. :) We have a step-by-step guide for connecting your email up to your custom domain here:
The first step is to collect the needed DNS records from your email provider. If you don’t already know these, can you contact their support team directly? They’ll be able to provide the needed details to you.
