How do I reset my homepage?
-
I deleted my homepage, because I didn’t want the text “Home” on my site. Also, I want to redirect my “Welcome!” page to be my homepage. How do I do that?
On another note, if someone could tell me how I can delete the comment on a page that’s already be posted, that would be greatly appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ and we cannot post to more than that one page. The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.
To do that create two pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/Front page displays

re: 404 front page error message
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.
By default the front page of your blog displays all posts. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of the blog appeared because the Admin of the blog deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear. Read the differences between Pages and Posts.

how I can delete the comment on a page that’s already be posted
I don’t see a comment on any of your pages.
For pages you have already published, you go to Pages > All Pages, click the little square to select all the pages, select Edit from the Bulk Actions pulldown, click Apply, select “Do not allow” from the Comments pulldown, click Update. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/disabling-comments-8?replies=3#post-1218537

I meant delete the comment section. The part where it says “Add a comment.” Since it’s a portfolio, not a blog, I don’t need a comment section on my site. I set the default to no comments, but some of the pages I made before I did so still contain the comment section. That’s the part that I want deleted

You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/Note: By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules

At 1:46 you wrote: “As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear.”
The problem is that I don’t want to use any posts for this website; I just want to use static pages. In fact, I want the “Welcome!” page to be my default page. How do I do that?
Also, if you could tell me how to prevent the words “Welcome!” appearing in text on the page, that would be very helpful.
The comment tip worked like magic. Thanks!

I reread what you said, and I was able to set the “Welcome” page as my default. Thank you, that was very helpful.
However, I just have one more question: How do I hide the word “Welcome” from appearing in text on that page?
