How do I reset my new theme (Twenty Eleven) to "factory basic"?
-
I have just uploaded a new theme (Twenty Eleven). I tried to change the background color from gray to white. When I clicked on the link to view the site, it was all blue! I have changed the background color several times to no avail, still blue. The spacing seems to be weird, too. Is there any way to reset the theme back to a starting point?

It’s working well on our end. Can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies?
Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

I did the original switch in Chrome, and then checked it and tried to make changes in Explorer.
This morning I am on a completely different computer on a completely different network, and it’s still blue.
I have now switched themes to Twenty Ten. The white text box is back, and the sidebar is white, but the background is still blue. Also, all of the text is centered!
I just changed the background color to green #ddf8ea, saved it, and it’s still blue.
I just cleared the cache and the cookies on the browser I’m using (Chrome), and it’s still blue. Why can’t I change the background color?
Just in case, I changed back to the default fonts for the theme. I still can’t change the background color, and all of the text is still centered.
Confused!

I took a break over the weekend and tonight tried again.
I just changed the theme from twenty ten to twenty eleven, the theme I want to use. Somehow the problems are still there! The white text box is gone, the entire page has a blue background, the link text is an ugly red, the margins are all weird so the comments graphic overlaps the right hand widget area… why did it not install with the default settings?
I don’t see a way to attach any files here, but I am happy to send you screen shots so you can see what I am seeing. I have checked this with Chrome and Explorer and cleared my cache in both browsers.
Please tell me how to restore the default settings on the twenty eleven theme. Thank you.

The comments are displaying properly for me. Similarly, the rest of your settings appear to be displaying as the default settings. You can compare with the Twenty Ten demo site:
http://twentytendemo.wordpress.com/Would you be able to take a screenshot of how things look on your end? You can upload the image to your Media Library:
