How Do I Restart My Personal Website?

    Several years ago, I registered and used a personal domain (e.g., JoeDoe.com) that was hosted by a hosting service. I also created a Word Press blog that was (somehow) linked to this personal domain. Now, I would like to restart by creating a new website, using this personal domain name. How do I do this using WordPress? For hosting? For website templates? Etc.? What do I need to know, do, ask?
