How do I return to normal function without domain mapping? I don't want to renew
-
I own http://www.modernoracletarot.com through godaddy through 1016. I no longer want domain mapping – it wasn’t helpful at all and a waste of $13 as far as I can see. How do I return to my pre-domain mapping function? I’ve reset the godaddy nameservers t the original defaults and set them to forward elsewhere until this issue is resolved. I’ve cleared my cache and cookies, yet when I try to navigate directly to modernoracle.wordpress.com or to modernoracletarot.com i get an error that the page is not available. I look forward to hearing how to return to previous function. I’ve always liked the WordPress.com platform and have recommended it many times. I hope we can return things to normal despite the domain mapping issues.

Hi there,
You did the first part right, there is just one more step and you should be sorted. From your site’s dashboard, go to Store>My Domains and click the radio button next to modernoracle.wordpress.com. that will make modernoracle.wordpress.com your “primary” domain. It may take a bit for the change to propagate through the internet, but once it does, visitors to modernoracle.wordpress.com will end up on your WordPress site, and visitors to modernoracletarot.com will go where ever you pointed the godaddy nameservers.
Let me know if you run into any trouble.
