How do I run ads on my site?

    Hello,

I just read this article http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/ and am still unclear on if we are allowed to run ads on our site and if we are, where to do them. We are small blog that is looking to work with other small/niche advertisers to help grow our audience and traffic. We want to make sure we are able to run ads on our site (which has a custom template and our own domanin) before we begin discussing any advertising partnerships further. Please let us know if small ads buys are allowed and if so, how we can put them on our site. Thanks

We do have an advertising program called WordAds.

Advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com is not allowed.
There are no restrictions if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.

Please see this guide to learn about the differences. We have hosting recommendations at the following link if you are interested.

    Hello,

I’m unable to apply to WordAds using this link. It says “We were unable to determine which public blogs you own. If you would like to create a new blog, please Sign up for one.” I’m logged into my wordpress account and only have one public blog–iloveineedblog.com.

    Thoughts?

That’s rather odd. Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Internet Explorer?

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

It’s okay, my sister got in and applied for us. Hopefully we’re approved, thanks!
