How do I save a backup of my site with the template I’m using?

    How can I create a backup .zip archive of my WordPress site including the theme I used?

    Hi there,

    Only the content, i.e. posts, pages, comments, and media files for a WordPress.com site can be exported via Tools ->Export.

    There’s no way to export customizations made to your theme as well. If you want to move your content to another site, you’ll need to manually activate/install the theme on that new site, and then manually copy over any customizations you’ve made to the theme to the new site.
