How do I save each post on my computer?
-
I am composing/writing directly on WordPress and I’m wondering if there is a format for saving each post directly to my computer? to Word? to print?
How can I ensure I don’t lose all the work I’ve put into this?

If you use an offline blog editor you will have a copy of every post and page you create on your computer. http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/ See here also http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/#backups

Here’s my routine for your consideration:
(1) Full-page screenshot
This is my preferred method because of certain legal reasons at my location. There are many screen-capture software out there, so I’d rather not recommend one here. This has the advantage of showing the actual post as it exists at presstime.(2) Printout as PDF document
If you have PDF creation software, then this is an alternative. At the bottom of each of your posts, there are buttons. One of them is “Print this post” and you could just print the post out as a PDF.(3) Email the post to yourself
This is the quick-and-dirty cop-out. Just email the post to yourself and you’ll have a copy of it in your inbox.Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your help. I’m new to this and didn’t even know where to look for direction – you’ve both given me excellent resources and ideas.
