How do I save my posts in the categories I want?

  I can not find a SAVE button in the categories section. There is “add new” but not a save. Is there any way to delete the uncategorized name?

  I found it. If s/o else needs it, it’s at the bottom of the page of writing/editing. I was looking in the Manage: categories page.

  You assign categories when you create the post. The categories section is below the post text area in the editor window.

  To delete “uncategorized” you first have to set a different “default” post category by going to settings > writing. Once you have chosen a new default and saved the changes, then you will be able to delete “uncategorized.”

  In manage > categories, when you click on “add new” you will be taken to the bottom of the page where you can create a new category. At the lower left, there is a button labeled “add category” which will save the new category.

  You can also create new categories on the fly in the write post page in the categories section below the post text area.
