How do I search blogs by language?

  I want to search WP by language – all blogs in Italian, then all blogs in Portuguese – or by location – all blogs from Italy etc – but can’t find a way to do so. Can you help?

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately you wouldn’t be able to search all blogs because many people have set their blog interfaces in one language, but write in another. But you can search tags through the interface languages that we have.

  If you go to WordPress.com and click on your Gravatar you will be taken to your settings. Click on Account and change the interface language. Then search tags that you are interested in.

  Maybe this can be fixed for the future. Simply offers blogger the option to select the language they write in, the introduce a search functionality by language. Looking for tags instead obviously narrows the selection down massively, and then you are no longer browsing; the element of surprise is gone.

  Even when I set my interface language in a language other than English, all the recommended blogs are in – English! I just get the impression WordPress is simply not curating other languages in the same way as it curates English-language blogs. An area of improvement!
