How do I separate followers for my 2 blogs
-
Hi, I have a primary blog which is on Child-loss & a second one which is a food blog. The food blog is new. I want to keep these 2 separate. When I follow other food blogs, it’s getting followed under the broader umbrella of my account, not specific to the food blog. I see them following my site back, but my child-loss site. How do I follow other food blogs specifically from my food blog site? Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @motherthatisnt,
The only way I can think to display your food blog site, instead of your child-loss site, would be to change your primary site setting on this page: https://wordpress.com/me/account
I hope that helps! Please reply again if you have more questions.

Thanks for responding!
So, if I understand it right – if I have to follow food bloggers, I’ll have to add my food blog as my primary blog; and whenever I find a new child-loss blog which I want to follow, I’ll have to switch back to my child-loss blog, so they know it’s another child-loss blogger following them. Is that right?

Hi again,
I’m so sorry for the delay!
The other way to do it could be create another account with WordPress.com and add that new user as an admin on one of your sites. Then set each user id to have a different primary account and bounce between accounts to like varying blogs about topics. That way you don’t have to switch your primary site again and again.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have additional questions!

May I please add instructions?
Separate accounts – Separate blogs
- You log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies, and then without logging in again, you register another username account under a different email address.
- You log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and log in under the old username account.
- Add the new username account as an Admin https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/ to the blog you want to transfer to it.
- Lastly, you transfer the blog to the new username account. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
