How do I separate my two pages into two different identities?
-
Hi,
I added another blog to my main blog a couple of months back, however, now I’d like to separate the two and have two different log in’s for them. Is that possible? (I would like to keep my address and not just take a new one, otherwise that would have been a possibility.)
I’m also interesten if there is a way of obtaining an address that is taken but clearly not in use?(It hasn’t been updated since January 2006, so I assume it’s no in use.)
Grateful for any help!

(1) Please provide a link to your wordpress.com blog when you post to the forum. Is this it? http://vilhelmina.wordpress.com/
You can have as many blogs as you want and you can provide links in them to one another. You cannot have two with the same url.
(2) There is no recycling of blognames or usernames at wordpress.com. And there is no policy to re-capture blogs that are not updated. -
Hi! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply!
No, I don’t want two with the same name, I want to separate the two I have, “vilhelmina” and “stunning”. Ie, I dont’ want the Vilhelmina one to be linked or connected with the Stunning one. I want to use a different user name to log in and write posts on the stunning one.
At the moment, if I post on Vilhelmina and then post on Stunning they both appear in my “recent stuff” or whatever that headline is called, you know on the dashboard. As the two blogs are completely different I’d just like to keep them on two separate log in’s.
Basically, I’m writing in Swedish on the Vilhelmina one and in English on the Stunning one and as you have to choose which language you want your editing pages in I’d like to keep the Swedish one Swedish and the English one English! :-)
I just waffle! Sorry if I’m not making sense! :-)

well if you have both of them into your account I don’t think that is possible. you need to have another account if you want different logins for each of them, but you won’t be able to use any of the ones on the older account, because they can’t change “owners” or even the same name can’t be used by another user/account ever again.

Those who have multiple wordpress.com blogs under a single username but who wish to have one or more of these blogs not to be associated with their current username, may register for a second username and then transfer the appropriate blogs to that new persona using the instructions below.
Example: I have two blogs under one username. I want to remove my name from the second one all-together or at least be able to change it to another name that it is posted by. Is this possible? I really don’t want my full name being published for the second blog as it is going to be read by strangers.
Instructions
(1.) In your second blog go to => Dashboard => Options => Privacy and temporarily make the blog private. Check the spot for __
I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose
and click “update options” to save the change.
(2.) Log out of wordpress.com
(3.) Sign up for wordpress.com using a different email address, and using a new username. Choose a new username that is not the same as any of your blog names. Do not create a blog, just a username.
(4.) After you finish responding to all the confirmation emails and whatnot, log out of wordpress.com
(5.) Now log in as your original username and go to your private blog’s => Dashboard => Users.
(6.) Add your newly created user as an Administrator.
Set the Role of checked users to: Administrator. Type the e-mail address of your newly created user WordPress.com user to add them to your blog.
(7.) Next log out and then log in to your private blog as your new user.
(8.) Go to => Dashboard => Users and delete your original username from the blog.
Remove checked users.
(9.) Go to => Dashboard => Options => Privacy and make the blog public again.
__ I would like my blog to appear in search engines like Google and Sphere, and in public listings around WordPress.com.
__ I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitorsYou may want to share the new username with your regular readers of your second blog via private email.
