How do I separate posts for a specific readership?
-
I am beginning a daily post under the category “Writer’s Block Busters.” I do not want these posts linked to my facebook page, because only one of my facebook friends is a writer. This daily post is aimed specifically at writers. I will just be a question, beginning sentence, and beginning paragraph to help with writer’s block. Actually, I don’t think I need to be linked to StumbleUpon or Twitter either, as it may seem puzzling to non writers…Thank you

How are these posts from your blog being imported to and displayed on Facebook? Are you using Publicize for Facebook and Twitter or some other method?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/What do you mean by “linked to StumbleUpon”? Your blog is no “linked” to stumbleupon. Your readers are free to submit any post or page on your blog they appreciate to stumbleupon and you can’t prevent that. They can use their toolbar to submit them so it does not matter whether or not you have a stmbleupon icon for them to click or not.

Okay, perhaps I was not clear enough what I was needing help with. Do I need to set up a separate blog just for my writing help posts?
Initially, when I began blogging/posting, I would copy the URL of my blog page and paste the link into facebook. Then, I did publicize to facebook so I no longer had to do this. From what I understand you are trying to tell me, I need to unpublicize my entire blog and revert back to the old way I was doing it. But, I just want these writing help posts to be separate from the rest of my posts.
I apologize for being confused and possibly irritating you, after you have been so kind to reply. I just don’t want these specific posts to automatically go to my facebook page. I guess, that is what really concerns me…Thank you again.

Yes, if you’ve been using Publicize you’ll have to stop using it and go back to the old way. Publicize is not configurable so you can pick and choose.

Thank you very much…I decided to open another blog: Writer’s Block Busters. That will settle the issue more satisfactorily.
