How do I set a maximum number of posts?
-
The homepage of my blog is a blogpage, the page where my posts appear. I want not more than 4 posts on this page because otherwise it’s gonna be a very long page. I also don’t want to delete all my blogs, because than they doesn’t excist anymore and I can’t put them in the archieve. At the settings I selected there has to be max 4 posts on the homepage, but this doesn’t work. I have 5 posts already. What do I have to do?

We recently added a feature called “infinite scrolling” to Twenty Ten and Twenty Eleven. You can read more about it here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/to-infinity?replies=137If you’d like to disabled infinite scrolling, there is a workaround that you can use. If you add an empty Text Widget to your footer widget area, you’ll be able to disabled infinite scroll via your Settings -> Reading page:

I get it. So it’s automatic enabled? And at how many posts the infinite scrolling will be activated?
-
Yes, the infinite scrolling is automatically enabled. New posts are loaded after every 7 posts on the home page. Once you add about 3 more posts, you should start seeing this on your blog.
