How do I set a widget?
-
Hi all,
I’m newbie to wordpress. I just moved from blogger. In blogger I used to have a place where I can just dump stuff (which I came to know later are widgets), so I could dump the widget and it would appear just above the blog. Now while I’ve imported everything from blogger to wordpress dunno where to put the widget<img style=”border: none;” src=”http://www.criticsrant.com/bb/readinglevel/img/junior_high.jpg” alt=”blog readability test” /><p><small>TV Reviews</small></p>

Click on design from you dashboard. Select Widgets. Add a text widget. Go to bottom and save everything. Then Copy/paste above text. Click change. Then go to bottom and click save, again. I used to be on blogger, and am happy to be off it. But I digress! The reason I mention that is cuz it’s the same way in blogger. You use text/html widget to paste html. Only in wordpress, they call it a text box. Keep in mind that you can’t use javascript in your html. But what I see from above, there doesn’t appear to be script. Anyhow, if you look beside each widget, there’s an explanation as to what that widget is for (and it says html beside the text widget). The little explanations ought to help ya as you make your way through organizing your sidebar.

What is the actual problem? Please be specific.
Your box.net widget is too wide for your theme, and so is your tag cloud, but other than that I see no problems.
