How do I set the large homepage image featured on the Untitled theme?

When you see the previews of the Untitled theme, there is a large image of a train on the homepage with a thin header at top. If i upload a header image, it makes the black pixels at the top big. If i feature an image, it adds that carousel bar at the bottom. I want mine to look like the preview. A big beautiful image right below the header that is wide and short, then my featured posts below. Just like the preview
