How do I set up a feed on my websites

    Hi.

I have had a look through the forum and although there are related subjects I could not find an answer to my question. I hope it has not been asked before but how dow I set up an RSS feed on my websites to feed my blog posts to my sites? I have already set this up with a third party widget (if you look at http://www.2rightfeet.co.uk you’ll see what I mean) but this has adverts fed into it as part of the deal to use it and it struck me that it would be better if I could do it another way. It would be ideal if wordpress offered a similar thing-(the 3rd party widget provider has an online form on their site, you fill in feed details, it generates code and you paste this into your site). Is their a way of generating the necessary code to feed wordpress blogs to my site without using a 3rd party widget?

For self-hosted blogs you can find support at http://www.wordpress.org/support/

Hi many thanks for that, I kind of confused matters by using my 2rightfeet site as an example where I am self hosting, it was a bit dumb of me but the feeds on my other website where not working when I posted the question on the forum so it seemed pointless to use them as an example!

The blogs I want to set feeds from are hosted on wordpress.com, I shall look again on the support pages but would welcome any assistance via the forum regarding setting a feed from wordpress hosted blogs.

    All the best.

I’m unclear where exactly you need the help. All WP.com blogs have a feed from the minute they’re created. But we can’t help you with anything off WP.com, like how to take that feed and run it through programs, etc. Are you having difficulty finding your own feeds?

No, I am just unsure what software I would need to feature my blog feeds on my websites, (if you look at http://www.kozmikfish.co.uk as a better example) On this I have my feeds running in a scroll box but this scroll box widget features advertising that I do not really want plus it has proven to be a little unreliable. I posted the question to ask if there is anything I can replace this with via wordpress. It is really cool of you all to have the patience to help and I appreciate it, apologies if I have not been too clear. Basically is there a simple way to run feeds onto my website so that visitors to my site see posts.

I guess a better example is how you can select a widget when designing a wordpress hosted blog that allows visitor to see feeds from other blogs in a column on your blog, I basically want to set something like that up on my website.
