How do i set up Forums?

    Hi there. It’s not possible to set up a forum on a WordPress.com site. The closest you can get is the P2-theme which displays comments on the front page as if it is a forum, but it doesn’t give you the ability to, for example, add different rooms, nor can you require visitors to log in to be able to post comments.

    I suggest you rather look at the self-hosted option on WordPress.org where you can get this functionality via plugins, or even better would be to install dedicated forum software like vBulletin to your own domain. Neither of those options would be free, I’m afraid.

    You can also link to an outside forum using a custom menu to make it look like part of your site – or just put the link in a Text Widget on the side.

    If you want to be real fancy – get a custom domain name & find a forum site that supports a custom domain as a sub-domain –

    Then you can have a custom domain like:

    your-site.com and install a forum as forum.your-site.com – you will need to pay for the domain name & mapping –
