How do I setup a future posting?
-
On my “Fund-blog,” I would like to republish with the original format with add-ons.
I read the “republish” instructions and have did followup searches … to no avail.
I have noticed on my “time/date to publish block,” even though I reset date and hit “OK,” I never get a “rescheduled” indicator. (All that button says is “update.”)
So, I’m just not sure what to do. This web page has been professionally set up, and I REALLY don’t want to do anything to “DELETE” it.
I have two blogs: 2rainydaypeople.com, and georgekBrannenfund.org (the georgekbrannenfund is the one I’m concerned about.
Thank you very much and “Happie Holidaes!”

Hi there,
If you would like to republish your post and schedule it to be published on a future date, please go and edit your post. Once you are there, in the Publish module on the right you will see “Published on:”, click on the “Edit” link and set the date/time you would like the post to be published.
The Update link will change to Schedule if you change it to a date/time in the future. If you are setting it to a date/time in the past, you just have to click Update and it will change it to the date/time that you set.
I see that you added the “Add-on” on August 16th, 2013. If you would like to change the published on date to that, you can as well through the same method.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need more clarification!
Cheers!

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I’ve just recheduled the link to publish today at 1200, but “the Update link stays the same; there is no change to Schedule.” (Just out of curiosity, why would I want to schedule in the “Past?”
I believe I’m following your instructions correctly. Maybe not!
Sorry about this, I’m probably just “miss’n” something.

Hi George,
Please make sure your timezone is set up correctly. Currently, it is set at New York. If that is correct, please make sure the date is correct to. I just tested this on your most recent post, and set it to Dec 23rd, 2013 at 12:00 pm, and the Update link changed to Schedule as seen in the screenshot below:
You cannot schedule posts to publish in the past, but you may update the date/time. It’s just an option we provide.

Hey,
Yes, I’m on eastcoast time.
I did check my “2rainydaypeople” blog and the reschedule worked Perfect as per your instructions.
So, I went to my “Fund” blog and got the same reschedule results (it would not reschedule”. Do you think it has anything to do with a primary/secondary status of the blogs?
I’m sorry to be a pain. Why will one blog work and the other not?
Hummmmmmmmmm, it must be the Xmas grinch.

Hi George,
It looks like your georgekbrannenfund.wordpress.com site is not set to New York, but the 2rainydaypeople.wordpress.com was. I have updated this for you in Settings > General. Now, if you set a time to any time after the current time in New York, it should be “Scheduled”!
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Cheers!

See, I knew all I had to do was find somebody that knew what they were all about.
I really appreciate your help, and have a great holidae.
