How do I show a summary of my posts on the home page

  I need to reduce the amount of information displayin gon my blog home page as several of my articles are quite long and older posts will simply be too far down the screen

  Is there a way of reducing/summarising the infomration contained within a post to 2-3 lines?

  You have two possible options:
  Excerpts http://support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/
  The More Tag http://support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

  The more clicks someone has to go through to get to your content, the less likely they will.
