How do I show only a short intro to my post on the homepage?

  I only want a short intro to the blog post be shown on my homepage so people see the whole post when they click read more. Right now the entire post is showing on the homepage rather than just an introductory excerpt. How do I change this?

  Your theme has some great options for showing short intros on your front page, there are just a couple of extra steps required to get the front page set up. The instructions are here:
