how do I shut down a menu item but keep it there for the submenus

  Hello,
  I would like to shut down a menu Item so you can’t click on it but it stays there so that the dropdown/submenu stays intact.
  Is that an option?

  Hi there,

  Ppen wp-admin>Menu> Select Custom Link
  Add the menu Name and on link put # so when user clicks on it nothing will happen.
