How do I stabilize/edit my text font & size?

  • Unknown's avatar

When I input content (sometimes copy and paste, sometimes just typing directly) into my posts, they come out with inconsistent text size and font. I have no idea why this is the case; I can’t figure out how to either fix it or change the size and font so that it is consistent. The super tiny size and varied fonts look terrible – please help.

Copying and pasting is always an issue since it brings in code that screws up your blog. There are two icons on the lower row of toolbar icons to take care of this. The paste from Word icon, and the paste as plain text icon.

On the posts with the issue, you can use the “remove formatting” icon on the lower toolbar row to remove at least some of it, but it will only remove HTML tags, not inline CSS. Inline CSS will have to be removed by hand.

Alternately, you can copy all the text out, delete it all from the editor, and then use the paste as plain text icon and then do any formatting you need to directly in the editor.

Well, I’ll get my stuff together one of these days. Also go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and click save. That should help keep some of the issues at bay.
