How do I start over

    Is there any way to start my site over but without Bluehost? I had an AWFUL experience with Bluehost and I just want a nice looking blog page to help boost my business. The functionality was horrible, the back and forth between Bluehost’s page and WordPress page was confusing, the themes didn’t show up properly… it was all a mess and I spent over 17 hours trying to get my blog to look the way I wanted. I finally had to ask Bluehost for refund and even then the Tech Support person was extremely confusing and not very helpful. So how do I get a wordpress blog but still use the URL? Is that even possible? I’m exhausted from trying to figure it all out so I’m happy to start over – I just need someone to tell me how to do it and if I can keep the URL I was using.

    Firstly, sorry for your frustration. We’re not connected to Bluehost but have known them to be a reputable hosting provider so I’m disappointed to hear that you had trouble there.

    You are definitely welcome to start your site with us, and will likely find it helpful that we have in-house support and can answer any questions you have as you get set up and started with blogging. You are welcome to do that using our free site option (yay, no hosting fees!) but if you would like to have a custom address instead of one that ends in “wordpress.com” it will require our Starter Plan mentioned here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    Once you upgrade it’s definitely possible to connect a custom domain to use as your site address, and we’re happy to walk you through the process step by step.

    We’re also happy to answer any questions you have here in our support system, but I also wanted to point out that for bloggers specifically, we have a few other options that you may not have thought of.
