How do I stop auto emailing posts to my subscribers so I can use mail chimp?

  I am setting up email newsletters with mail chimp so I would like to stop auto emailing my posts to subscribers from the blog. I don’t know how to disable the emails from autosending. Help!

  Hi there,

  While you are welcome to send out your own newsletters, it’s not possible to stop sending out of WordPress.com subscription emails to people who chose to sign up for them. WordPress.com subscriptions are completely in the control of followers. Site owners don’t control this, and we cannot remove a subscription without the subscriber’s consent.

  You can remove the Follow Blog widget from your site if you have that added, but that also won’t prevent people from signing up for email subscriptions directly in the Reader.
