How do I stop my theme from publishing the first paragraph on page in a smaller

  How do I stop my theme from publishing the first paragraph on page in a smaller typeface?? I’ve changed to the “My Life” theme, which suits my needs better, but when I publish a page the theme sets the first paragraph in a smaller typeface. i’ve managed to resolve the issue on some pages after deleting and re-pasting the openings pars several times, but this is a real hassle, and sometimes doesn’t work: see my page Home » My Mother’s Memoirs » Refugeehood: From Warsaw to Shanghai.

  The first paragraph on that page is enclosed in code this way:
  <span style="font-size:13px;line-height:19px;">TEXT HERE</span>
  This code can’t be introduced by the editor or the theme, and it means you’ve probably been copypasting from another source (such as Word). Never copypaste from other sources into the Visual editor; if you need to paste, paste into the Text editor, or via the Paste from Word button.
