How do I stop my widget from proofreading?
-
The widget doesn’t appear to accept the ignore function for proofreading.
For instance, every time that I write ‘subscribe to’ the widget automatically corrects at each ‘save’ for ‘follow.’ I put ignore ‘subscribe to’ and saved it, but this save didn’t change anything.
I suspect that widgets proofread but ‘ignore phrase’ doesn’t work on them.
Please let me know how to fix this.

Just to be sure, do you mean that every time you type Subscribe it’s replaced with Follow?

Well, I used quotation marks to go around this proofreading, but the problem itself isn’t resolved. I can do with the quotation marks–but the issue remains.

Thank you very much.
May I take this opportunity to ask a question of a ‘subscription hyperlink?’ So to speak, I decided to change my theme, but it’s disadvantage is how hidden “subscribe” is on the footer. Is there a way that I can make a hyperlink to subscribing? Or even a subscription page?
Sorry, but I would like more followers and its finally dawning on me that the easier that I make it for my audience, the more likely I will have an audience. :)
Thank you all the same, responsiveness and concern are such strong suits!

There’s no page or link to use, but folks who are logged in to WordPress.com will see a “Follow” button in their admin bar the top of their browser window and folks who are not logged in will see a “Follow” tab at the bottom of the browser window. Both do the same as your Subscribe widget.
