How do I stop spam from my contact form? I am getting 100's

    I am getting hundreds of SPAM messages through my contact form, which I am unable to manually keep up with and mark as spam. Is there anyway that this can be done automatically as these are also received as email which is making my email account virtually unusable also.

    From what I could see on other posts, this is supposed to be done automatically by askismet?

    I would prefer not to add a captcha on the form if at all possible.
