How do I stop the automatic renewal of my domain?

  I set up my domain name for automatic renewal but I didn’t want it to do that anymore as I am transferring it to someone else. However it already renewed and took the payment money out of my account. Is there a way I can stop automatic renewal and get the money back?

  Happy to refund this for you, but I just wanted to clarify one point. The renewal will still be valid even if you transfer your domain elsewhere. For example, currently, the domain is good through 3/8/2016. When you transfer it, the domain will still be good through 3/8/2016. The payment isn’t specific to WordPress.com; it applies to your domain in general. Does that make sense? You’ll still get the benefit of the payment even if you transfer your domain.
