How do I stop this sudden influx of spam followers from outlook.com?

    I’m going on five years with my WordPress blog, and I’ve never had spam followers using email sign-up. All of a sudden, I’m getting them from outlook.com. I’ve read on your forums that spam followers are not an issue you can fix — or allow us to turn off — but I thought I’d report this here in case it helps to know this is going on.

    The emails listed below are examples of some of these spammers who’ve signed up to receive my blog. I’ve pulled them from the email followers list. They have not left comments. I checked them on Clean Talk, and they are described as being black listed on websites:
