How do I stop WordPress count my own views?
-
My website (weblog) is public and I am logged in.
However, WordPress still counts my own views in my stats.
Is there any way to prevent this?(in addition, I see no problem with visitors’ count, only with views)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I saw nowhere to edit the post above to include:
My website (weblog) is http://www.pedrofigueira.pro.br -
When you are logged in to WordPress.COM your visits to public sites you registered are not counted. https://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/
-
Yes they are counted because I am logged in right now and each time I visit my blog the counter goes up.
-
What is the URL of the site please?
Let’s ask Staff to assist you with sorting this out. I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

I do not think you’re signed in to your account in the same browser where you are visiting the site from.
What happens if you try using a different browser?
-
I am signed in in the same browser. I have already tested in different browsers (Internet Explorer, Opera and Chrome); logged off and in again; reviewed the website configurations; connected and disconnected from net; and different PCs.
Always the same result: each time I visit my own pages/posts while logged in, the views counter goes 1+ for each page/post.
I also would like to repeat the same as in the first post: visitors are counted correctly (my accesses do not count). Only views have this problem.
-
Also, I would like to mention step by step how this problem occurs:
1 – Create/Edit any post or page.
2 – Save/Update/Publish such post or page.
3 – Click permalink or ”view post”.
4 – The browser shows the created/edited content (as supposed to do).
5 – The stats goes 1+ for views (as not supposed to do). -
Can you let us know what extensions you’re using in your browsers?
I’m wondering if you’ve got one that “views” your pages along with you, and it would not be logged in as you.
I saw a somewhat similar issue once where someone was getting a visit every time she logged in to check her site. It turned out her browser had a thumbnail of her site on its opening page, so the view was coming from Safari.

No extensions or plugins in browsers. No plugins in WordPress (free – I pay only the domain).

No. Even when I delete the cache of my browsers (which I do frequently), I always keep the cookies, so my accounts are kept logged in.
-
Can you please check if your browser has third-party cookies enabled?
-
Solved. By default (and security issues) I always block third-party cookies. This prevents the system to understand I am logged in when I open new tabs. It interprets as there is another user viewing the website instead of a simple browser redirection.
Thank you very much.

Yep :). This is specifically happening because you have a custom domain on the site, so the cookie that’s set for your WordPress.com login is seen as a third-party cookie on your site. If you add an exception for cookies from WordPress.com and wp.com to your browser you should not have this problem going forward.
