How do I stop wordpress form charging me for a domain I don't want?

  I don’t want to pay for my domain name: ‘danielyounathan.com’ again for the upcoming year. It states that I will be charge as of Sept. 12, 2013. How do I stop it from automatically charging me, and do I simply switch back to the default ‘danielyounathan.wordpress.com’ domain name?

  Hi Daniel – you can turn off the auto renewal by going to Store->My Upgrades and clicking ‘Disable Auto Renew’ under the upgrade. Then, the domain will expire on its own, though you will still get some reminder emails when it’s coming up.

  If you don’t want the domain at all anymore, I can cancel it for you now. Please note that if you cancel it, there’s no guarantee it will become available to register again. If you want to use it with another site (not at WordPress.com), you should transfer it rather than cancel it.
