how do I stretch my custom header?

  I purchased the upgrade to edit the css and have widened my them which is ambiru. but now my picture within the header is much too small. I was wondering how I could enlarge the header so it fits with the page?

  You need to do that with an image editing program, then upload it to your media library, get the URL of it and put that URL into the appropriate place in the CSS.

  That varies from theme to theme since the CSS varies from theme to theme, but I’m betting it is here:

  #header {
  background:transparent url(http://haydengrace.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/cropped-dsc_0142-1flickr9.jpg) no-repeat scroll 0 0;
  }

  Just replace the URL there now with the URL of the newly uploaded image.
