How do I switch from wordpress.com to org?
-
Trying to save $(guided transfer fee) might be an awful decision on my part. I decided to purchase hosting from bluehost. I installed wordpress, and then I changed where the nameservers point. I saw it might take 24-48 hrs, but I didn’t realize my blog would look like a generic wordpress.com page…is this normal? Thanks

Hi there,
Yes, that’s normal. You’ll need to transfer your blog’s content over to your self-hosted WordPress installation.
This guide should come in handy:

Ok, I am extra sorry I tried to do this on my own. I cannot even try to reverse the nameservers change because I cannot even log into my old, trusted dashboard. How can I transfer the content if I cannot get back to the beginning? Thanks SO much!

You should still be able to log into your old WordPress.com Dashboard via http://wordpress.com/ with your WordPress.com login information.
If you have any trouble logging in at WordPress.com, please let us know.
