How do I switch website hosts?

  I currently have a website host through Vista.com and our domain name that we pay for is http://www.soltheatercompany.com We are currently working on creating a website through wordpress and would like to purchase the exact same domain name, while simultaneously canceling our account with Vista. Will we be able to purchase the same domain? If people search for the company via Google or some other search engine, will they still come upon the old vista site or will it shut down completely once we cancel our account?

  You’d need to map your domain name to your WordPress.com blog, and it’d keep on working for searches and so on.
