How do I sync changes with wordpress

I don’t know if I ever did this before but honestly I don’t think I did. After changing the time and etc., I read where my changes should be synced with wordpress. One, I don’t know what that means and 2., I don’t know how to do the syncing. I really need help. If has to do with settings, please state if it’s settings on my dashboard or blog.

I Googled how to change time zones since I’m in a different time zone than the default time zone. When I searched it, I went to the first option which was How To Change Your WordPress Timezone-CoSchedule. Then it took me to the page of instructions. The page says: What can we help you with? Instructions for changing the timezone is below that. About the syncing, its number 5. toward the bottom of the page. Do I need to Sync my settings? If so, How?

Hmmm, those sound like they may have been instructions for hosted WordPress using the software at WordPress.org. Similar, but different from WordPress.com.
