how do I sync mailchimp (or similar) with wordpress.com blog?

  • Unknown's avatar

I want to use a mailing list service such as Mailchimp to offer readers a subscription option to my blog and to collect email addresses. Is it possible to synch that kind of service with a WordPress.com blog? How do I do that?

If not, can I migrate my content, design, and URL to a free WordPress.org blog without losing anything? How do I do that?

    Thank you

    Hi there,

Is it possible to synch that kind of service with a WordPress.com blog? How do I do that?

This would not be possible, but what you can do is add a Follow Blog widget. This way anyone who follows your blog will receive email notifications of your new posts.

However, if you prefer using the Mailchimp plugin, you can move to WordPress.org via this support guide:

Please look at hosting plans with available hosts. I’m not sure if they would be free. But the pricing plans will differ.

As we only support sites hosted here at WordPress.com, all issues with the new site – including the importing of the file – must be taken to the WordPress.org support community:

If you’d like assistance moving your WordPress.com site to WordPress.org, we have a service called Guided Transfer that does all the work for you. Check it out to see if it’s right for you:
