How do I synchronize the time in Google iCalendar to the Upcoming Events widget?

    I enter an event in Google calendar with the correct time and when it posts to the Upcoming Events widget in my wordpress.com site, it is +8 hours. I also embedded the calendar in a page and it shows the correct time. How can I have both the Upcoming Events and the embedded calendar sync time zones to my Google calendar?
