How do I take my blog offline without deleting it?

  Hi there, I would like to ‘unpublish’ my blog for the moment – how can I do this without deleting it please? I just don’t want the blog to appear online.

  See option 3 here to change your blog visibility setting to private > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
  Dashboard > Settings> Reading
