How do I temporarily deactivate my site?

  I need to take down my site but I don’t want to lose my design or my domain name. Is there a way to simply “deactivate” my site so that I might “re-activate” it again at a later date?

  Hi there,

  It sounds like you may want to make your blog “Private” for a short period of time. Is that correct?

  If so, you can change your privacy settings by going to your Dashboard -> Settings -> Privacy and selecting “I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose.”
