How do I temporarily turn off a WordPress website that isn't finished yet?

Please help! This is really bothering me. I have a functioning website that I created with iWeb and is hosted by GoDaddy. I want to eventually create a new website on WordPress, but I need time to figure it out. I made the huge mistake of uploading a theme, so now, instead of going to my already created website, people instead end up on a blank Avada theme blog page instead of my website. I don’t want it to because I haven’t even started to figure out how to do the website!

How do I temporarily turn off WordPress so that when people search for my website they will arrive at the one I have already completed? Help please!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s not a free hosted WordPress com blog. You are posting to the wrong support forum. This one is only for free hosted WordPress>COM blog issues. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.org bloggers.

The only blog we provide support for here are free hosted WordPress.com blogs like http://alexishigginbotham.wordpress.com

We do NOT provide support here for http://www.alexishigginbotham.com/ because it’s not a free hosted WordPress com blog. You are posting to the wrong support forum. Not to worry. Some days 30% of those who post here are posting to the wrong support forum.
