How do I temporarily turn off email alerts to followers and subscribers

I am redesigning my blog and cleaning up old posts. I do NOT want any alerts going out to followers or email subscribers while I’m doing this. How do I turn all of that off without losing the following. I just don’t want them getting emails that there is new content in case I publish something on accident. THANKs!!

There is no means of doing this, but on the other hand, when you edit posts the subscribers will not receive the updates.

Oh good…Thanks!! Last thing I want is a bunch of crazy email alerts going out by mistake.
