How do I transfer a blog domain from one wordpress site to another?

We already have an active wordpress site but we now want to use a domain name currently pointing at this site to point at a new blog we are setting up (again under wordpress) instead? There don’t seem to be any instructions for how to do this? Can you help?

If I understand correctly, you currently have a domain name registered through WordPress.com. Now, you would like to use that domain alongside another site that you’re currently also setting up on WordPress.com. Is that correct? If so, I’m happy to transfer the domain to the new site for you. Just let me know the domain you would like transferred and the site you would like to use it with!

I’m happy to do that for you. However, currently, you are not the owner of that domain. It looks as though the domain was purchased by another user. In order to transfer the domain to another blog, the request will need to come from the owner of the domain. Can you have the owner of the domain submit a new request for support asking for the domain to be transferred? Please have them reference ticket #411565 so we can connect this conversation.
