How do I transfer a blog to a new owner?
-
I created and setup a site for a client, and now that it’s all done i’d like to transfer ownership of the site to his WordPress.com account.
I have looked through the forums and related docs, but only find outdated info.
Any help is appreciated!
Cheers,
Dave

Hi,
You can transfer ownership of a site by visiting the My Blogs link via the Dashboard of your site (direct link: https://rhomaacmar.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs ). When you hover over the blog in question, you’ll see a “Transfer Blog” link appear.
Click that and it’ll take you through the process.
Please double-check the e-mail address and/or username before submitting the form.
If you could let me know what documentation was outdated, I’d like to update it right away.
Thanks!

The instructions reference “My Blogs”, of which I now see there 3 different views of. I was using http://en.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ which you can also get to by clicking the WordPress logo in the Dashboard.
The instructions need to make it clear that one should use the “My blogs” visible inside the dashboard, which leads to the /wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs page.
Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll see the documentation is updated in the next couple of days. Sorry for the confusion!
