How do I transfer one blog to another in the same account?

I have 3 blogs under my account. I want to transfer the content from one of them (blog x) to another (blog y). It wont let me do this in any way I have tried because I am not transferring to another user and when I try to change the url to blog y, it says the site is taken (by me of course!). I am wondering if deleting blog y and then signing up for it under a new account will be the best way, since I get the warning that if i delete blog y, I can never use that url again under my current account.
