Hi lesliejtalkingstitches,
WordPress.com doesn’t accept incoming domain transfers, so you won’t be able to do so.
If you’re looking to point your GoDaddy domain name to WordPress.com, you’ll have to purchase the domain mapping upgrade, then change the nameservers in the GoDaddy control panel to the WordPress.com ones.
Here’s a support article that shows you how to go about mapping a domain name:

Hi Valentine
Thank you for the information. However, I do have another question. My domain name is registered with Go Daddy for 2 years. After that time frame, can I directly host my domain name with WP or do I still have to be enslave into pay two hosting fees?

Hi,
You don’t have to purchase hosting from GoDaddy. Web hosting and domain name registrations are two separate items.
If you map your domain to WordPress.com, you’ll still have to pay for domain registration at GoDaddy every year (around $15/year), but not for web hosting (any of these services).
