How do I transfer a trial upgrade domain to another registrar?

    Hi,

    I’ve recently upgraded my account and received domain hosting for a site. I’d like to cancel the upgrade and move to another hosting site.

    Problem is:

    If i cancel my trial, will wordpress.com release my domain and let me register it elsewhere? If not, how do i transfer it? I cannot do so right now with the trial upgrade.

    Be aware that canceling a domain means you give up ownership of that domain name. The domain name may not be released immediately, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to register it again in the future.

    If you’d like to keep the domain and use it somewhere else, you can transfer it instead: Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/

    It appears that you have already canceled the registration and trial, and then purchased domain mapping again. Because the domain was registered here, it will continue to work temporarily. But as you have lost control of the registration, you cannot use it with any other webhost.

    If you want to gain control of the domain, I can see if the cancellation can be reversed.
