How do I transfer an existing domain's registration TO WordPress.com?

  I am trying to transfer the registration of an existing domain _to_ WordPress.com. I tried adding the domain, but my only option was to map it. I mapped it, but even after that I was unable to transfer the actual registration to WordPress.com. (So I cancelled the domain mapping, tried again, and still didn’t see how to transfer the registration of the domain)

  The options I was able to find are either to register a domain that doesn’t exist yet, or map (but don’t register) an existing domain. Can’t I use WorkPress.com as a registrar?

  Thanks for getting in touch. While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:
