how do i transfer and not map my domain name from godaddy to wordpress?

I currently have my domain name registered with godaddy, which costs $22.41 annually. If I map it to my new website I built with wordpress, it will cost an additional $13 annually. Does anyone know if there’s a way I can just move the domain name to wordpress for the $25 annually. The extra $10 a year isn’t a big deal, but I’d prefer to just deal with 1 company instead of 2. I wouldn’t want to cancel my domain name through godaddy then reopen it with wordpress, because I’d be nervous about somebody taking it from me before I can buy it back.

Unfortunately, WordPress.com doesn’t accept incoming domain transfers. As you noted, letting your domain expire in hopes of registering it again with WordPress.com is very risky and not recommended.
